Bri Nguyen is a dedicated director, producer, and filmmaker with a passion for drawing inspiration from her Vietnamese-American roots. Although her stories are fictional, the experiences are a direct result of her growing up without Asian representation in the media. There were no uniquely Asian shows on Cartoon Network, Disney, or Nickelodeon; the closest show she could get to Asian representation was Pokemon. As she grew up, she confided with other Asian-American peers, who agreed there was a need for a space for them in popular media.

By inspiring the next generation with her unconventional career choice, Nguyen paves the way for Asian-Americans to achieve the representation they deserve. She strives to build works that evoke nostalgia and familiarity in her viewers. Nguyen is fueled by her enthusiasm of creating stories involving everyday Asian culture. This includes familial relationships, immigrant family cultures, and other microcultures within Asian-American households. Her own family is major driving force in her storytelling. By inserting herself into the film industry, she hopes to pave the way for other Asian-Americans and build a space where they can feel safe and welcome in.
